Last Chance Christmas

If you need a last-minute Christmas gift, there's still time to send that special someone a present from Scarlet Threads!  As long as we ship before December 20 and use Priority Mail, USPS ensures delivery by Christmas.  So, take advantage of these last few days and pick up a special handmade gift for someone.  We'll even ship it directly to them and include a hand-written Christmas note at no additional fee!  Check out our shop's website for more details.

I love this video from Advent Conspiracy.  I think this is an amazing movement, and if you haven't heard about it, you should check them out!   One of their ideas is that Christians can "take back Christmas" by actually transforming it into a meaningful and holy holiday, instead of getting up in arms about the fact that major retailers say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" these days.  One of the ways we can be a part of this transformation is by using gift-giving as an opportunity to give meaningful presents... it might be a flock of ducks or a child sponsorship, or it might just be an apron made by rural Asian women.

What's Cookin'

So, did you see the pictures on the foster home's website of our little cuties modeling our upcoming products?  Matching children's aprons to go with the adult versions!  (Perfectly sized/adjustable for 5-9 year olds, but deliciously adorable on smaller ones as well.)  So now when you're whipping up something tasty, your little chef-in-the-making can not only be underfoot helpful, but she can look just as cute as you do in the kitchen!

We have a new stock of Scarlet Threads products in our store, so if we were sold out of your favorite one, you have one last chance to get some before Christmas.  And this time, there's no waiting on the shipping!  Until we run out, they'll ship within 2-3 business days of when you order them, so there's still some time to get some for Christmas.  (I think it would be awesome if we sold out before Christmas!)

Speaking of giving Scarlet Threads as Christmas gifts... we know with the holidays right around the corner, you may want us to send the package directly to the lucky recipient.  If you want us to include a holiday note, just drop us an email after you place your order letting us know the name on the order and what you'd like the note to say.  We'll hand-write it on a pretty 'lil Christmas card, and include it with your gift!  All at no extra charge. We're just that nice.

Some of you blog readers have already received your aprons.  If you haven't already, please tell us what you think!  We're working on developing a new page on our website for customer reviews, but we need more to include.  Oh, and if you want to include a picture of you in your apron, that'd be great!

Final piece of Scarlet Threads news... We now have a Scarlet Threads Facebook page.  WooHoo!  So can we be friends?  It's just one more way you can help us spread the word.

Moving Along

We had our very first local sales event!  Scarlet Threads had a booth at a local gift bazaar, featuring hand-made gifts created in China.   It went really well!  We sold nearly 30 aprons!  The response was much stronger than we anticipated.  Scarlet Threads is really getting off the ground, and we're so thankful and excited!

The results of that poll were entirely unhelpful.  :)  It looks like you basically thought all of the ideas were good ones, which I guess is a good thing even if it didn't help us narrow it down.  So we're going to get busy on developing some of them.  It will take a while before they're available for purchase in the USA, but we're working on it!

There's still time to get an apron for Christmas!  We have a stock in-route to the USA right now.  So if you've ordered an apron recently, they'll be in the mail soon, and we'll soon be ready to fulfill orders more quickly than before!  So, if you're still looking for a perfect gift for the cook in your family, check out us!
