Name an Apron Contest

We have a Caroline, Molly, Phoebe, and a Savannah.  But there are some new girls coming to town, and they need names just as beautiful and full of personality as they are.

So for the next couple of weeks, until the official launch of the new Scarlet Threads Spring Line in mid-April, we're going to be giving you a sneak preview of what's coming up and an opportunity to name our newest aprons!

Here's the first one... She's flirty and fun, in the fresh colors of spring blossoms and Easter eggs.  But whatever should we call her?  The choice is up to you! (Click on the picture to see the details!)

Leave a comment with your favorite name. If we select your name as the winning entry, you'll get a 50 percent off coupon good for any item in our shop. And, you'll have the amazing honor of being the first-ever apron name bestower!  (Which is definitely a big honor.)

And don't forget, tell your friends to join the fun!  Our Scarlet Threads team wants lots of good names to pick from!

Fine Print:  Contest closes on Saturday, March 27.  Winner will be announced Monday, March 29.  If more than one person suggests the same name, the person who suggested the name first will win.  You can also enter the contest on our facebook fan page!

  1. Gloria, Olivia, or Annali (my Chinese daughter's name). Looks like the Spring line is going to be really lovely. Can't wait to see the new goodies.

  2. I have 4 beautiful daughters with fabu names, but the name I will share for this contest is Pearl. She is my third daughter, from Guangdong China. I love the layers of meaning of this name. It would be perfect for this new Apron.

  3. Evangeline (I just read a poem by Wadsworth of that name) it reminds me of home in the land of Acadians. Of course, Pamster's "Gloria" is exactly how I feel about spring's arrival this year. :)

  4. My vote is for "Audra". This apron has all of my daughter Audra's favorite colors in it, and even the style reminds me of her; Sweet, sassy and sophisticated!

  6. How about "Kinsey?"
I know it seems a little conceded but hear me out!!! Not only are pink and green my favorite colors and not only do I think it'd be awesome to have an apron with my name but also because I left a piece of my heart at NDFH when I interned last summer... :)

P.S. Miss all of you "china" gals...

Just think, "Hi I'd like to order a dozen or the 'Kinsey' and a dozen of the 'Molly' " wow, that has a great "ring" to it!

  8. Such great name suggestions already!
I'm going to suggest "Lilly Grace" because like the name, this apron is very Spring-like in it's enthusiasm and joy. I love the colors too--The tidy green border tames that wild and happy patterned fabric just like a nice border in a flower garden.
I'm thinking I'm going to need to expand my apron selection very soon!

  9. Why isn't there a "Carrie"? Or something that is Chinese (Fairly easy to pronounce) like "Mei" or the name of the lady who makes these?

  14. My name suggestion is Audrey. This is our Chinese daughter's name. She is bright, beautiful, and full of joy and life just like this apron.

We chose the name Audrey because we thought it was a beautiful name, and I admire the life and humanitarian work of Audrey Hepburn. She dedicated much of her later life to helping impoverished children and women in the poorest nations. She had an amazing heart and compassion for those who are suffering and worked tirelessly on their behalf.

I think Audrey would be a fitting name for any Scarlet Threads apron.

  20. Katy because I think it's just one of the cutest, happiest names ever.Plus it's my sister's name, and she's about the sassiest person ever.

  21. Well that right there is the PeggySue apron!

  24. I like the name "Robin" for the new apron, like one of the first signs of Spring time, after a long cold dreary winter, the hope of spring is soon to be realized. Bringing new life after the winter with beautiful blue eggs, soon to hatch with fragile baby birds.

  25. I like Meili Rose my daughter's name. The characters for Mei and Li both represent "beautiful." She is our beautiful rose and this apron looks like a beautiful spring rose.

  26. Can I make a second and third suggestion or is it one suggestion per person? Don't shoot me if so ...
But I want to also suggest the two name I love: "Ashlyn" (read my post on Ashlyn Coconut on my blog to dig into that more) and also "Georgia".
So many beautiful names are being suggested!

  27. Awww... this apron is my new favorite. It reminds me of cute, girly-girl, who loves pink. I instantly thought of the cute, girly-girl that stole my heart my first day at New Day... Olivia. My vote is for 'Olivia.'

  28. My photographer (Jane) says it looks like a "Madison" and, I'm going to have to change my vote! MADISON!!!! I really really think so.
