Naming Contest 1: Sweet & Savory

If you’ve been rabidly awaiting the release of new Scarlet Threads products, you need wait no longer! Careful watchers will have already noticed that the ST Shop has been updated to reflect current inventory - we have our Sadie Bag back AND a fresh stock of Tiger Hats. If you were stalking the website, you will have seen that we released the new products!

Let the naming contests begin!

We are going to start with my personal favorite: the new half apron. Can I just say gorgeous? The yo-yo pocket adds to the flair of this bright, cheery, and feminine style. The bright colors, especially with the reds, speak to the wonderful women in rural China who lovingly created this piece by hand.

“When serving your guests a cup of morning Joe, the day will seem a little bit brighter if you have this vibrant half apron tied around your waist. Red and blue, it has unexpected pops of orange, green, and salmon on the funky retro print. The bright blue "flower" pocket is an unexpected surprise. Hand-sewn by a woman in our village who uses the money she earns to educate her son, the blue pocket with a red button center provides a punch of color and a fun, yet functional, purpose.”

I would name this apron “Perfection,” but it isn’t up to me. It’s up to you!

Entries accepted until Friday, March 18. Winner will receive a 50 percent off coupon good for one item in our shop! Leave your entries as comments on this post or on facebook.

  1. I would name this apron "Daphne"
because the retro flowers remind me of the 70's and those on The Mystery Machine ... and Scooby Doo is a BIG hit in this family. It makes everyone happy--just like the beautiful colors in this apron!
