Last year around this time, I bought a few boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, as I always do. I was a Girl Scout for six years when I was young, and always loved cookie season. Samoas have long been my favorite, and still are. I could eat them by the boxful.
One night, I decided to make chocolate chip cookies, but for some reason, didn't have any chocolate chips. GASP! Aren't they a staple of every pantry?! I usually have at least one bag, but apparently hadn't bought more after using my last bag. I did, however, have a box of Samoas....hmmmmm, I thought.
So, I chopped those babies up and put them in my cookie dough!
Obviously my cookie technique and form might need some work (also demonstrated here, with my attempt at hamantaschen), but you must trust me when I tell you how delicious they were! I'll share another creative cookie recipe with you later this week, just in time for Easter this weekend......
What is your most creative cookie idea that you've made? Was it successful?
